About the event
The day includes a 2 hour cultrual heritage tour on country with Budj Bim tour guides looking at different types of fish and eel traps at Tyrendarra. Tyrendarra Indigenous Protected Area features an inter-connected complex of 18 stone wall dams/weirs, seven excavated channels and numerous swampy depressions associated with trapping and holding kooyang (eel).
Followed by a visit to Budj Bim National Park to visit the lava caves and walk to Lake Surprise (time permitting).
Morning tea provided, BYO lunch.
