Water Security Projects

These projects, in collaboration with Federation University Australia 's Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation (CeRDI), saw us sample and analyse water from farm bores across our region and map surface water flows and dam catchments to tally farm water storage and assess the potential impacts of climate change.

At our final workshop we heard from CeRDI's GIS specialist Rick Pope who demonstrated the farm dam catchment analysis and climate change predictions available on the NRM Planning Portal, and from hydrogeologist Pete Dahlhaus who provided some fascinating insight into groundwater in our region and went over the results of our bore sampling.
